Its a very sturdy backrest. The components will move a lot, until tightened. They move laterally (twist) quite a bit and if you're not OCD like me, your backrest may be off-center and not look right. After installing the backrest, I came back to the video to be sure I did it correctly. Here's a tip: after removing the stock luggage deck, assemble the bent bracket and bottom plate, keeping the screws a little loose. Place the plate on the bike's luggage frame with the spacers inserted and tighten it down with two of the old cap screws. Now using your best eye, adjust the bent bracket so it's centered and perfectly aligned with a point on the center of bike's dashboard, and tighten that sucker up. Remove the plate and bracket assy, and resume the installation per the video.
