Damaged Passenger Backrest V2

Price: $115.00

Availability:: Usually Ships in 24 to 48 Hours
Product Code: C14-22-D

Luggage Rack:

This item works as described but the backrest pad is damaged or imperfect in some way. I have a few of them and have been priced for quick sale.

Fitment: Works on 2008-Current models.

This kit includes EVERYTHING you need to mount a passenger backrest using the stock luggage rack. You DO NOT have to buy an aftermarket luggage rack to use this. Just bolt it on and go!

This backrest features 2.5 inches of adjustment forward and back and 3 1/2 inches up and down, finding a comfortable position for your passenger will be easy.

5 Minute Install! This is a direct bolt-on. No cutting, welding or drilling. All you need is a 4mm and 5mm hex key and you're ready to go.

Good deal for the money. May 8, 2017

I didn't know what I was going to be getting, but I'm ok with the trade off between cost and any issues. All of the metal parts had no problem. Only issue was the staple job on the bottom of the backrest.  Someday I'll take the time to straighten out the staple job and get it to look better. Still was a good deal, wife has been bugging me to get a backrest on my C14.

Can't find any damage on the item. Bolts right on. Wish the bracket-to-rack bolts were a few mm longer. Still I'm satisfied.

Not Really Damaged.... September 7, 2016
Reviewer: Daniel Dayton from Mason, OH United States
It appears to me that the backrest I received is not actually damaged, but rather may have been an early prototype design. Comparing mine with the installation video, the one I received is less refined in its design, in that the bracket that connects the backrest to the rear carrier is exposed rather than hidden under the fabric of the backrest. If I decide that I want to cover up the exposed bracket, I believe that I can purchase a backrest cover--Bone Mountain makes one that I think might fit.

There is a side benefit to that exposure, however, in that it provides space to attach additional reflective safety tape for extra visibility from the rear at night. The second side-benefit is that the screws that attach the backrest to the bracket are exposed, making for easy height adjustment. (Just remember to use locktite on the screws after adjustment.)

Overall, I am please with the purchase, and as always, very satisfied with Ryan's responsiveness to questions.
